JEAN-MARIE TRUCHARD

Jean-Marie grew up in a home where wine always played an important role in the daily enjoyment and fulfillment of the good life. Her roots run deep in the Napa Valley where her family’s wines receive critical acclaim, year after year. Inspired by the family winemaking tradition begun by her great-grandfather - a French winemaker who immigrated to the United States in the 1880’s - founder Jean-Marie Truchard created Lagniappe Wines to showcase distinctive regional styles of Pinot Noir.

Jean-Marie has been on a vegan path the last few years. To this end, all of the wines are vegan. No animal products were used in their production. And for all of you animal lovers out there, all of the profits will be donated to several of her favorite animal charities and shelters including Farm Sanctuary, Humane Society of the United States, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Woodstock Farm Sanctuary, and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

She and her husband, Dan, travel often, always on the lookout for exciting culinary and oenophilic adventures. They came across the word, Lagniappe, while in New Orleans—a place where people relish the pleasures of good food and drink—and sought to create wines that express that spirit of enjoyment. The result is Lagniappe, a boutique collection of wines that will transform an everyday experience into something truly special.
